Tantalum foil & tantalum strip is made of dark blue-gray tantalum metal that is very heavy, ductile, and hard, and has high corrosion resistance. Tantalum foil is especially resistant to chemicals at temperatures below 150 °C and can only be dissolved with hydrofluoric acid.

The ring is typically made of copper or stainless steel and is installed between the flanges of the flow meter and the process pipe. Our grounding rings perfectly fit between flanges, helping to eliminate unwanted noise and extraneous signals carried in fluids through lined pipes. These rings are available in other EXOTIC materials such as Titanium and Zirconium in both 150# and 300# ANSI ratings.
